Radipole Lake
Weymouth
The lake is a designated nature
reserve with emphasis on birds who visit the area. The Romans built a
port upriver at Radipole before ships just grew too large to reach it.
Many birds visit the reserve including swans which you can see in the
Swannery area of the lake.
Other birds include Mallards,
Tufted Ducks,
Pochards and many more.
