The small sandy beach area is
sheltered by the breakwater of
Portland
harbour. The area includes a sailing club to the south and is easily
accessible from the Rodwell Trail via Old Castle Road. Nearby is
the crumbling ruins of the Tudor stronghold
Sandsfoot
Castle.
