The creation of this bronze sculpture commerates
those in Dorset who throughout the ages, died for their faith. It was completed
in 1986 by the sculptor Elizabeth Frink. The most notable in Dorset are the Tolpuddle martyrs.
Two martyrs face the figure of death across a circular
plaque with the message
'For Christ and Conscience Sake'
